ASB Announcements

2021 ASB Constitutional Amendments

Arcadia ASB has created a formal proposal that details a series of three constitutional amendments aimed at increasing ASB’s representation of the student body and ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the forefront of our practices.

The amendments will be on the upcoming 2021 elections ballot for the Class of 2022, 2023, and 2024 to either approve or reject. As graduating seniors, the Class of 2021 will be unable to vote on these amendments.

There will be a special election specifically for the EDI Commissioner Amendment that will take place from March 4th at 8 AM to March 5th at 1 PM via Election Runner in students’ emails. If approved, this amendment would allow for the EDI Commissioner position to be elected in by the Spring 2021 Elections. The other two amendments will be voted on by the student body in the Spring 2021 Final Elections that will be effective in the 2022-2023 academic school year.

The formal proposal and amendments can be viewed here:

Additional information about the amendment proposals will be provided via an email blast sent to the entire student body, the Arcadia ASB Instagram account (@arcadiaasb), and the student bulletin.

There will also be a town hall meeting on Friday, February 26th from 1:15 to 1:45 PM via Google Meet: In this meeting, ASB will be presenting the proposed amendments and further information as well as hold a question and answer session at the conclusion of the meeting.

We hope that you read these various resources and attend the town hall meeting before coming to a decision on the amendments. Please feel free to ask any member of ASB or email if you have any additional questions!
